After a period of failing memory, Henrik Frenkel made an investigation. Then he learned that he had Alzheimer’s. Life stopped, but Henrik decided early on that he would not keep his illness quiet but instead talk about it.
On a return visit a year later, the news came that was almost even harder to accept. It’s probably not Alzheimer’s.
Gratitude despite cancer
Two years after the misdiagnosis, Henrik Fenkel suffers from incurable cancer. But just like with the Alzheimer’s diagnosis, he chooses to talk about it – often with humor.
Hear Henrik Frenkel about being a lousy boss at SVT but still getting the opportunity to start a boss newspaper, the family’s silence about the escape from the holocaust and the feeling of having lived life to the fullest.
