Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen looks like she might be able to stay on when Denmark goes to the polls on November 1. But her party Social Democracy lacks its own majority judging by the opinion polls and it looks like it could be quite complicated to form a new government after the election. A strong contender is the former Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. He has made a sensational comeback with his new center party, the Moderates, and may become a kingmaker who will play a decisive role in the formation of the government. Or can Lars Løkke Rasmussen even become prime minister for a third time? As recently as September, Søren Pape Poulsen was also a hot candidate for prime minister, but scandals and statements made him later plummet in public opinion.
Therefore, the Danish People’s Party balances on the barrier
The immigration issue has been far down on the agenda during the election campaign.

The Danish People’s Party has almost imploded in public opinion. Other upstarts have appeared in the void of the Danish People’s Party. But in Denmark today, it is difficult to find sustenance via an immigration debate. Instead, it is healthcare that has been the dominant issue.
The episode was recorded on the morning of October 28.
