The world’s largest emitters of greenhouse gases – the United States and China – will resume climate talks between the countries, reports the New York Times.
The talks have been on hold since August after the situation between the countries became increasingly tense.
“It’s a positive surprise, it’s a breakthrough,” says Sveriges Radio’s climate correspondent Marie-Louise Kristola about the major powers’ new announcement.
