In Brazil, there are three days of national mourning after the legendary soccer player Pelé died on Thursday. Edson Arantes do Nascimento, as his real name is, was 82 years old.
During a football career that spanned three decades, he made an unforgettable impression on the world. His entry onto the world stage took place in Sweden in 1958 – when, as a 17-year-old, he won World Cup gold with Brazil’s national team at Råsunda in Solna.
