NIB finances the Green Chemistry R&D Park in Finland

The EUR 40 million loan will partially finance approximately 3,100 square meters of rentable office space, 8,600 square meters of rentable laboratory space, 730 square meters of rentable meeting space and the first phase of the restaurant project. The building will comply with the BREEAM environmental certificate, and the goal is to get at least “Very Good”.

The Finnish chemical manufacturer Kemira Oyj leases approximately 70% of the total surface area of ​​phase I with a long-term lease. Kemira’s premises will have approximately 7,000 m2 of laboratory and research space and 2,200 m2 of office space.

The other premises for rent in phase I include approximately 2,900 m2 of laboratory and office space and approximately 730 m2 of common space with restaurant and meeting facilities, which are rented to other companies for chemical research.
