Ericsson sets aside 2.3 billion for feared US fines

  • Ericsson makes a provision of SEK 2.3 billion for feared US fines related to the IS bribery scandal. On the stock exchange, there is a thumbs up, the share rises by over 7 percent. It burdens the fourth quarter.

  • “The company believes that this is a sufficiently reliable estimate of the financial sanction fee linked to a potential settlement regarding the DPA violations and the provision also includes the estimated cost of the previously communicated extension of the independent observer of the company’s regulatory compliance,” the company writes in a press release.
