Energy panic spread in Europe as Putin turned the gas tap. Prices skyrocketed and in Germany drastic measures were taken to save energy. Europe feared a crisis winter. But even if the situation is difficult in many places and energy poverty has become a concept, fortunate circumstances have meant that Europe is doing better than expected through the winter. Not least in Germany, people are now breathing a sigh of relief that stocks are sufficient.

But what happens when the gas reserves, which largely consist of Russian stored gas, have been depleted? Now comes warnings that next winter could be the real test for Europe.
