The government is ready to increase support for green companies

Time is of the essence
Experts argue that the relaxation of the rules could drastically shorten the process time for permits needed to build a wind or solar farm.

At the moment, green companies can wait years for the authorities to respond to, for example, a building permit.

“We have long asked them to look at the rules, because it simply cannot be right that green projects have to wait so long for answers to their applications,” says Lasse Hamilton Heidemann, spokesman for the Danish National Association. Trade, told DR.

The EU proposal will be discussed further this week when European leaders meet for a summit in Brussels.
