It is February 7, 2015, and in Scandinavium in Gothenburg there is full Mello fever.
It was far from obvious that Molly Hammar would be here tonight, because she hesitated for a long time. Melodifestivalen feels like a commercial gimmick that is not in line with the type of artist she wants to be. At the same time, she feels that her career is stalling and Mello can be, it must be, her way into the limelight.
Now the 19-year-old girl from southern Stockholm has swallowed her pride and decided to give it her all.
Molly’s red train dress and her loose brown hair flutter in the Mello fans. She feels that she puts everything.
Trembling with happiness, she leaves the stage, and after the other artists have performed in turn and the votes have been counted, it’s time for elimination.
Name after name is called out. But not Molly Hammar.
