Weapons, business and rebuilding
Together with the government, opposition parties on both sides of the island – SF, Danmarksdemokraterne, Liberal Alliance, Konservative, Radikale, Dansk Folkeparti and Nye Borgerlige – signed the agreement.
The overall framework will include DKK 7 billion for 2023 alone, while funds will also be earmarked in 2024-27 to cover expenses associated with replenishment after military donations in 2022 and 2023.
More specifically, DKK 5.4 billion will go to military support for Ukraine in relation to weapons, equipment and training.
A further DKK 1.2 billion has been set aside for humanitarian efforts and long-term reconstruction, while a further DKK 0.4 billion will go to Danish companies that support these and other business development initiatives.
