The contract, valid until the end of 2025, also stipulates that the current cabin crew collective agreement will be extended by one year, until January 31, 2025.

“We are happy that we have been able to find solutions together with our employees” said Johanna Karppi, Finnair’s people and culture manager. “The agreements with our employees support our important goal of restoring profitability. We are grateful that our employees have been ready to participate in solving the profitability challenge in order to secure Finnair’s future and jobs.

The airline has previously agreed on cost savings with pilots, senior staff and engineers, as well as cabin crew operating in Japan and South Korea. It has also implemented a number of local contracts aimed at improving productivity with ground operations units and technical services personnel.

Currently, savings agreements cover 87 percent of the personnel.
