Larnaca [Cyprus]March 28 (ANI): Raiza Dhillon shot a 70 to emerge the best Indian on show on day one of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Shotgun in Larnaca, Cyprus.
Raiza, who competes in the women’s skeet, was in 14th place after three qualifying rounds and will aim to finish in the top eight with 50 goals coming up on Tuesday before the final rounds begin that day. Parinaz Dhailwal shot 64 to tie for 44th place while Areeba Khan was further down in 58th, having shot 59. The day’s leading scores were 72 shots from six shooters, with Victoria Larsson of Sweden topping the scoreboard.
In the men’s skeet, India’s Angad Vir Singh Bajwa also shot 70 but finished 47th with teammates Abhay Singh Sekhon 62nd with 69 and Man Singh 81st with 67 respectively. (ANI)
