Recently, a doctor was sentenced to prison for, among other things, having prescribed thousands of narcotic tablets. The doctor denies drug offences.
At his reception at Östermalm in central Stockholm, he has been in contact with his patients through WhatsApp, and has been paid through Swish. Among the patients are several gang criminals, including a company manager who, according to police sources, is connected to the Södertälje network and who is suspected of involvement in a large eco-crime spree that is currently being investigated. This is an example of how organized crime is suspected of welfare fraud, according to police and prosecutors.
