STOCKHOLM – According to new rules proposed by the Swedish government, job seekers from countries outside the European Union (EU) will have to secure a higher minimum wage than before if they want to obtain a work permit in the country, according to the government on Thursday.

PRAGUE – Eight people died in an overnight fire in Brno, the Czech Republic’s second-largest city, the local fire service said on Thursday.
