KABU – Afghanistan’s security forces have discovered an arms cache in western Farah province and seized a variety of weapons and ammunition, a statement from the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) said on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, GDI personnel launched operations in Farah province on Wednesday and discovered weapons including five Kalashnikov rifles, three PK machine guns, two rocket launchers and thousands of bullets, including 20 grenade launchers, the statement said, without mentioning whether anyone was arrested. NEW YORK – The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday passed legislation that would delay the implementation of the federal government’s debt ceiling until January 1, 2025.
