On the night of April 14, 1989, there were fires in five places near the village of Stenberga. Two people, siblings Sigvard and Gunhild, have disappeared. Only the bricks remain of their croft.
In Stenberga, the horror is total. The small community has been hit by unexplained arsons for several decades. Now the pyromaniac is back.
Around the fire sites, the police find strange objects. When police technicians find charred bone remains, the Stenberg residents suddenly find themselves in a double murder investigation. And the clues point to a prominent resident of the village.
