“Sunday’s low pressure system will take some of the heat with it.”
Between Monday and Tuesday, warm and humid air will enter the southern and central parts of the country from the Baltic.
The rainy front will reach the west coast on Tuesday around noon and the eastern parts of the country late on Wednesday. The slope is predicted to linger briefly over Lapland from Tuesday to Wednesday, which, according to Tuovinen, causes the possibility of snowfall at low temperatures.
“However, the zone where snowfall is possible is quite narrow,” he told the newspaper.
The next rainy front will advance to the southern and central part of the country on Thursday. The winds turn from the south at the same time and bring warm air as far north as Oulu.
On Thursday, temperatures can rise to 20 degrees in the southern parts.
– However, the lunch wind can be gusty. We are now in such a part of the year that warm air typically comes with the wind, Tuovinen reminded.
Friday is predicted to be the warmest day of the week, when the mercury temperature can rise to 22–23 degrees as high in the north as in Oulu.
– It is possible that the temperature will also rise to 15 degrees in Lapland, even though it snowed there only a few days before. If there is snow on the fells, it will disappear by Friday at the latest,” he stated.
The weekend’s weather is characterized by showers.
“The coming week will bring summer days, while the wintry air will stop for a while in Lapland. The next one will also be warmer than typical for the time of year, and temperatures will reach 15 degrees on both sides in the southern and central parts of the country, and 10 degrees on both sides in Lapland.”
