On Friday, the government, the Radicals, the Socialist People’s Party, the Unity List and the Alternative presented a nature and biodiversity package.
Hier die wichtigsten Punkte der Vereinbarung:
* It secures a total of 888 million kroner in 2021-2024. The money will be spent on more untouched forest, the establishment of new nature national parks and a strategy for the management of endangered species.
* It will be possible to reach a total area of almost 75,000 hectares of untouched forest and the establishment of an estimated 13 new nature national parks, so that in total there will be up to 15 nature national parks in Denmark. It is still unknown where the new national packages will be established.
* A Biodiversity Council is established. Four million kroner will be set aside annually in 2021-2024.
* A review of existing legislation in the field of nature and biodiversity is initiated.
* Ten million kroner is set aside for improving the marine environment. The framework is prioritized for initiatives in the Sound, such as the re-establishment of rock reefs and the collection of lost fishing gear, etc.
