Das Rentierhaltungsgesetz wird überarbeitet – vom samischen Parlament begrüßt

• The Reindeer Husbandry Act will now be reviewed by a parliamentary committee.
• It happens after the Supreme Court’s decision last year that Girja’s Sami village in Norrbotten and not the county administrative board has the right to decide who is allowed to hunt and fish in its areas.
• The government announced early after the ruling that the reindeer husbandry law needs to be reviewed and now a parliamentary inquiry is being appointed.
